BACK IN TIME ¾ 1939

The day had arrived, September 1, 2010, all was loaded. Mengele’s equipment included, among other things, an authentic phaser type of hand gun, as seen on sci-fi series in the 1960’s-90’s. This weapon had been stolen from a US classified* weapons lab the year before.

The ship was ready and the countdown had begun. Mengele was firmly strapped into his rocket. Everything was automated. He controlled everything from a modified laptop computer, including rocket speed acceleration, fuel consumption, rate of time dilation, interior and exterior temperature and even his own vital signs.

He wanted no complications—no one to discover how he would change history. He did not want any traces left behind in 2010 or later, lest someone duplicate his time travel plan and undo what he was about to do.

Mengele wanted revenge on Israel for what had happened to his father. He wanted to glorify the Führer his father had worshipped.

He thought to himself, “All that I have ever worked for has meaning today.”

His laptop was his command station. He had programmed it prior to entering the ship. It would remind him of all necessary checks that had to take place prior to lift off.

From the speakers of his laptop came the computer generated voice instructing him, “T minus 10 minutes and counting. All lights are green. We have full external power. Begin final status check. T minus 1 minute. Pressure is good. Weather is good. All systems are go.”

His eyes gleamed with evil as the countdown ended and ignition began.
